POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Project Manager supports the management of multiple projects of high complexity that cross division, organization, or entity boundaries, from original concept through design and implementation. Serves as a key enabler of complex executive level project management activities by integrating people, process, and technology across business units and divisions. Responsible for completing workflow and application design, completing business assessments, developing and managing project budgets and detailed project work plans. Responsible for implementing solutions by managing communication, coordination, integration, and transfer of project work with all areas affected by a project including those we serve internally and externally. Serves as a liaison with the business leaders of OSF HealthCare System as well as external business, research, and academic partners. Works closely with Strategic Planning in delivery system redesign work to develop implementation strategy to affect intended change. Functions as a process and technical expert with a high level proficiency in business process measurement, performance assessment, innovative approaches, project scoping and project execution or planning using Performance Improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors
Experience: 3 years' experience directing and managing multiple complex projects, using Performance Improvement and Project Management tools.
Other skills/knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years' experience in healthcare.
Formal leadership experience.
Experience supporting projects involving patient quality, safety and satisfaction measures, data definitions and benchmarks.
Other requirements/information:
Knowledge of healthcare delivery, project and program management, innovation, performance improvement methodologies (i.e. RIM, Lean, DMAIC, DMEDI, etc.), basic budgeting, and healthcare legislation.
Ability to adapt style of management and content of communication for technical and non-technical audiences including senior executives, clinical leaders, physicians and others.
