Pay range for this position is $30.85 - $46.85/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, in accordance with physician orders, and in compliance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act, is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care provided to Cardiology and/or assigned patients. Serves as patient advocate.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed as a Registered Nurse with the State of Illinois. ACLS required. Knowledge of basic cardiac electro physiology, anatomy and physiology and basic normal and abnormal rhythms, patterns, images. Other evaluation of abnormal characteristics and artifacts as required and acquired through formal education, in-services and classes and on-the-job training. Basic analytical skills necessary in order to recognize abnormal heart images and rhythms, EEG patterns, and artifacts in test data and to notify appropriate personnel. Working knowledge of a clinical on-line system and Microsoft Office programs. A high level of analytical skills necessary in order to effectively utilize the nursing process. - Substantial interpersonal skills required in order to instruct and comfort patients and their families and maintain effective contacts with a variety of medical center personnel and staff.
