Bartender

Liliana is the sister bar / lounge / restaurant adjacent to Osito, San Francisco's only Live Fire tasting menu experience brought to you by Seth Stowaway and Jenn Yoo their team. Intentional and evocative cocktails made with the same techniques utilized by the live fire kitchen: preservation, fire, and seasonality. The beverage program is rounded out by an extensive wine selection with a focus on natural and biodynamic production, with carefully selected sakes, ciders and beers. The menu is inspired by collective memories and moments of nostalgia from Seth's past growing up in south Texas and his experience cooking on the California coast.

The successful candidate will be full of passion for Food & Beverage and guest satisfaction. They should have knowledge of  local ingredients, wine, beer and spirits. Liliana is seeking a bartender with at least 2yrs cocktail bar experience and experience working with fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be full of passion for Food & Beverage and guest satisfaction. They should have knowledge of  local ingredients, wine, beer and spirits. Our ultimate goal is to provide an exceptional guest experience, by leading the guest on a journey of the best food and beverage that Liliana/Osito and the Bay Area has to offer. Liliana bartenders are passionate about our industry, have classic cocktail knowledge and are enthusiastic about using seasonal ingredients. They are detail oriented, efficient, and open to learning and suggestions. Qualities we look for in the ideal candidate are go-getters, creative thinkers, energetic personalities, and the ability to read a room.  Having situational awareness is key, and being able to engage with customers in a way that makes them feel like a friend in your home. You will be working in a small team, so the ability to give and receive feedback is important, as is your eagerness to contribute meaningful ideas that translate into core values. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of service and hospitality to guests while staying true to the Osito/Liliana culture
• Ensure the highest standards for our cocktails and ingredients are met
• Full knowledge of all food menus served
• Assist in batching cocktails and spirits
• Assist in maintaining an organized storage area
• Maintain a clean bar and well
• Maintain bar inventory and supplies
• All opening / closing side work as outlined in daily side work sheets 
• Communicate with guests and coworkers in a respectful, precise manner 
• Maintain a gracious and professional manner on the floor at all times 

Qualifications

• Two years of  experience in a similar restaurant environment preferred
• At least 1 year of hospitality experience preferred
• Able to describe menu items and communicate guest preferences
• Possess a hospitable and gracious demeanor
• Food Handler’s Safety Permit, TIPS training certification
• US work authorization required
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
