POSITION PURPOSE:
This is the perfect position for someone looking for summer work. We hire candidates 16 yrs old. A Seasonal Camp Ground Associate is to serve as the liaison between park users and park staff. May assist in campground public relations, activities and special events/activities. Will be responsible for performing light maintenance work and campground clean up. This is a part-time seasonal position from April 15th through October 5th (park is open May1-October 1)
CAMPGROUND ASSOCIATE COMPENSATION:
- Starting pay $15 per hour - may vary depending on experience

CAMPGROUND ASSOCIATE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Comply with campground policies and procedures
- Deliver firewood & ice
- General grounds keeping & keep restrooms clean
- General campground security and oversight
- Mow/trim grass
- Landscaping as needed (water plants, etc)
- Minor maintenance work
- Answering phones and taking reservations
- Processing online reservations
- Checking and answering the Resort email and voicemail
- Checking in guests upon arrival and checking out guests
- Helping stock the campground store and process store transactions
- Providing local information and campground area information
- Cleaning all bathhouses
- Cleaning up garbage and debris around the property
- Must be available on nights and weekends
- Other duties as assigned
CAMPGROUND ASSOCIATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to physically get out and make rounds through the camping area
- Ability to adapt to changing work conditions
- Must posses basic carpentry and maintenance skills
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- A good knowledge of the park and surrounding area
- Flexible and rotating schedule to include most weekends and summer holidays
- Requires visual acuity and ability to hear to clearly communicate with managers, coworkers, guests and vendors
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to reach with arms and hands
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must have finger to hand dexterity to be able to grip, grasp items or equipment
