Job Description: Implements or supports others in the execution of plans or Team objectives. This Position only has operational, and not hierarchical responsibility. Structurally trains and develops colleagues on the floor. Manages daily activities of the team. Responsibilities: Personnel functions: Oversee, direct, and assist the activities of Assembly, receiving, returns and shipping personnel to meet all external and internal customer commitments. Coordinate international shipments with customer service. Train employees on all Work Instruction associated to the Prosthetic Department assemblies. Work closely with Processes Engineers and Quality Department on new products, product changes and product nonconformities. Trouble shoot assembly team on all assembly issues. Inspect components that are in question and create Nonconformities if needed. Oversee all assembly orders. Inform Customer Care on any issues associated with assembly orders. Work closely with receiving department to expedite Prosthetic components that are on back order. Perform PMs for some of the assembly fixtures. Organize calibration tools associated with Prosthetic Department for the Quality Department to be sent out for calibration. Ensures shipping staff follows all picking and closing standard operating procedures and contributes to maintaining inventory integrity. Trains and assists to assure accurate data entry of inventory transactions that reflect actual inventory movement and correct shipping destinations. Ensure all orders are processed on time and accurately. Assure adequate training and cross training of personnel in shipping. Documented training should be to most current released procedure. Discrepancies should be corrected or reported to a supervisor for corrective action. Assures team sticks to 5S principles as applied in the warehouse. Organizes 5S training opportunities where needed. Creates daily reports as required. Maintains the evacuation checklist. Exercises good use of company funds and property within the set guidelines. Maintains an honest and professional attitude as the company’s representative at all times. Contributes to a safe working environment by maintaining own workspace and reporting any potential hazards. Order management. Completes end of day process (confirms loads, submits UPS manifests, clear import overview, finish off order management and esure all intercompany shipments are placed in transit). Handle customer feedback investigation and case closure. Review open containers and order status in SCALE. Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications: High School diploma or vocational degree in a relevant field of education. 2 to 5 years relevant experience preferred. Computer knowledge demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word as utilized in prior positions. Strong written and oral communication skills as demonstrated in the employment interview process and by work experience. Customer, quality, and results orientation. Basic Knowledge of Össur products (by training or experience) Basic knowledge of warehouse equipment, flow of inventory, shipments, and production operating procedures used by Össur, Inc. (by training or experience) Training Requirements: ISO training associated with position shall be obtained within the first 90 days of employment. Safety training as appropriate. All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific. All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance to the Training Management Process (PR-00042). All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Össur’s Environmental, Health & Safety requirements. Training takes place in the On-boarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific training is job specific. Supervision: Does not Lead a Team. This role serves as the foreman of a team of distribution employees. Position only has operational responsibility, not hierarchical. Works independently within broad guidelines. Work is reviewed at critical milestones. Directs, Trains and Assigns work. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $19.67 - $25.78 benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
