The role – Finance Business Partner
As Finance Business Partner, you will step into a newly established and dynamic team that is involved in many business-critical projects and that will evolve with Oterra in the years to come. You will be offered the exciting challenge of being a constructive sparring partner to the business, acting the primary finance business partner for Oterra’s American leadership team including the newly acquired leadership team of stand-alone Food Ingredients Solutions, as well as select corporate functions.
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner who can assist the organization in ensuring a smooth and excellent build-up on the back of the carve-out and company mergers, while supporting the future growth by guiding the business’ decision making in a credible, reliable and professional manner.

The right profile is able to work independently with a dynamic and pragmatic attitude, who can act as a solid and trusted advisor for the business, and that has experience in supporting C-suite level individuals. You will have at least 3 years of relevant experience from a similar role in a company working in a global context and preferably with experience from companies with global headquarters outside the US.

You will be working closely with other members of the team as well as a long list of stakeholders, both vertically and horizontally in the company.
As Finance Business Partner you will be expected to lead the Oterra performance management processes in your respective functional areas. This includes business controlling and management reporting, ongoing performance reviews, and forecasting and budgeting. Projects, tasks and issues within your respective areas relating to Business Finance will also be part of your work.
The responsibilities and primary duties associated with the position will be:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the American management team as well as selected corporate functions,
- Play a key role in building the future global Oterra performance management process and the build-up of our new Business Intelligence suite for Sales and Innovation,
- Review and understand the actual performance on all relevant KPIs compared to budgets and plans and uncover emerging risks and opportunities,
- Design, communicate and drive the budget, forecast and monthly closing processes for the US business in line with corporate timelines and contribute actively to linking their respective business plans and strategic priorities to financial results,
- Model and conduct trending and variance analysis, business case development, and other financial and operational analysis for the US business, and
- Monitor and assist in managing DSO and CAPEX with special focus on Innovation projects,
- Perform ad hoc tasks including, but not limited to, building business cases and participating in projects.
As an owner, EQT is ambitious on behalf of Oterra and is constantly looking for relevant acquisitions in the market. As Finance Business Partner, you can expect to be involved in the merger and the subsequent integration of systems, reporting and processes.
Specifically, we are hoping to find a person with:
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to details,
- An ability to handle and manage multiple tasks without compromising quality nor precision,
- An ability to oversee a large group of stakeholders divided into various functions and geographies,
- An ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment with a high degree of responsibility, freedom and with a short power distance,
- Up-to-date professional finance and analytical skills,
- Experience with SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud is an advantage but not a requirement,
- A desire for a fast-paced learning curve and thrive on working independently in new and multiple areas at the same time,
- Proven record of great problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills, and
- Enjoy working internationally and with different cultures, possessing the ability to read, write and speak English
