OTO Development Vice President, Food & Beverage
We are recruiting for a Vice President, Food & Beverage with executional expertise in hospitality food and beverage to lead our $44 million F&B operation at our hotels coast to coast.
The Vice President, Food & Beverage is responsible for driving the overall F&B revenue, profit, guest satisfaction and team member development for our portfolio. From setting strategic goals to executing tactical plans, this position ensures exceptional service and quality that exceeds guest expectations. This position requires frequent overnight travel to hotels across the country but is based in our home office in Spartanburg, SC. Relocation to Spartanburg County is required.
This role will work closely with development, purchasing, marketing, public relations, sales and operations teams so collaboration, teamwork, strong communication skills are utilized daily. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of and passion for food and beverage, catering and events experience, strong organizational and analytical skills.
Here’s what you’ll do: Partner with key stakeholders to understand and drive the overall business (revenue, profit, quality and guest satisfaction).
- Identify opportunities and implement strategies to enhance revenue, guest service and profitability.
- Develop culinary programs for a wide range of outlets in our hotels
- Develop processes for executing successful catering and banquet events
- Serve as a liaison between all departments ensuring brand focus and activation feasibility
- Ideate through brainstorming and research to come up with wish lists of possible concepts for new outlets as well as activations for existing outlets
- Vet new activations through budget projections and operational model viability
- Make recommendations for operations staffing structure and assist with identifying, hiring, training and developing team members.
- Evaluate new property opportunities with the real estate and development teams. Create F&B layouts that correspond and complement existing overall site plans and layouts
- Develop and implement property-specific innovative strategies including budget considerations, marketing goals, and 360-degree activation plans to support the hotels’ business objectives for the F&B segment
- Selects the best opportunities for the hotels F&B outlets based on market conditions and hotel needs; then conduct performance analysis of past F&B programs/events and adjust strategies accordingly to enhance future initiatives.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.
- Minimum 8 years of hospitality related experience in a senior role in operations or catering and events is required, ideally in a multi property role
- Prior experience opening new hotels and F&B venues is desirable.
- Experience successfully leading and managing teams
- Experience creating, working with, and managing budgets
- Demonstrated ability to think both creatively and strategically
- Strong F&B knowledge including staffing, equipment needs and culinary
- Experience conceptualizing, producing and executing culinary events, sometimes in unconventional locations
- Existing vendor contacts a plus
