Everyone has an important role in accomplishing these objectives! In the Cost Accountant role, the following activities are performed:
- Involvement in the capital process from determination of whether a project is eligible for capitalization through final plant-in-service classification while adhering to accounting guidance
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders to complete construction projects in a timely manner
- Account for jointly owned generation plant costs as a part of month-end close responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Cost Accountant with maintaining our fixed asset system, including system integrations, resolving issues, and implementing enhancements.
- Coordinate the workflow of project statuses between our different operating systems
