Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging curriculum and activities that meet the developmental needs of children ages 3-5. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth. Collaborate with parents, staff, and community members to support each child's learning and development. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and communicate regularly with parents about their child's development. Attend and participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings. Plan and organize classroom activities, including educational games, storytelling, and hands-on projects. Assess children's individual needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly. Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture that promotes kindness, cooperation, and respect among children. Implement and follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe learning environment for all children.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. NYS Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) preferred. Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Passion for working with young children and helping them achieve their full potential. Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues and parents. Commitment to continuous professional growth and development. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young children.
