What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Department Manager position at Our Company?
We are currently seeking to hire an Inventory Manager for our Distribution Center in Lakeland, FL.
What you’ll be doing:
· Strategically manage distribution center Inventory department in compliance with company policies and vision
· Coach and mentor warehouse team, providing active feedback as needed
· Work with warehouse leaders to cultivate a welcoming and team-focused environment
· Open and effective communication at all levels
· Develop and implement inventory cycle count strategies that will capitalize on opportunities, address areas of improvement
· Be conscious of company budget and ensure goals are met or exceeded
· Ability to calculate, analyze and apply business, financial and statistical data, such as changes in rates of production, cost, shrinkage, etc., to improve warehouse operations
· Initiate, coordinate and effectively manage compliance of optimal operational policies and procedures
· Maintain and promote safety standards throughout the warehouse
· Able to work side by side with the warehouse team to complete daily goals
What we’re looking for:
· Minimum 2 years of college or equivalent Four years of warehouse experience, of which two years must involve warehouse management
· Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
· Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
· Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Ability to manage details, appreciate complexity, and champion problem solving
· Strong leadership skills, flexible and innovative with a collaborative style
· Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
· Strong decision making and problem-solving skills, excellent communication Skills
· Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends able to travel to other Rooms To Go locations
· Be at least 18 years of age
· Able to submit to a Drug Test and Background Investigation
