Our Lady of Loretto School in Novato, California, is a TK-8 Catholic elementary school that has been providing excellence in Catholic education since 1959. Combining deep-rooted traditions and current best practices, the school is dedicated to educating the whole child so that he or she may be successful in the 21st century. Educators focus on teaching the students to be active Christians, responsible individuals, life-long learners, effective communicators, and problem solvers.

The school community is seeking a qualified elementary school teacher for a full time teaching position for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is benefits eligible.

The applicant will be required to teach all subject matters plus all other duties and responsibilities attributed to this teaching position at OLL.

Qualifications: ● A Bachelor’s degree ● A valid California teaching credential* (or a reciprocal credential from another state) is preferred ● Teaching experience with children ● Classroom management skills that incorporate researched-based strategies that are positive and lead to student and class success ● Demonstrated communication skills with parents, faculty, and students ● Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology on a daily basis. ● Commitment to excellence and rigor for all of their students

Job Responsibilities: ● Plan and teach all subject matters for the assigned grade-level curriculum. ● Maintain up-to-date assessments in order to communicate student’s academic progress with parents and guardians ● Challenge and effectively motivate all students in a positive and nurturing environment ● Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and faculty in a timely and professional manner ● Collaborate with faculty and volunteers to provide an engaging academic curriculum
