Bookkeeper/Payroll Clerk:
Full Time, Hourly Position (35 hrs/week) Monday - Thursday, some weekends or weeknights may be necessary
Reports to: Finance Director

POSITION PURPOSE: This person will collaborate with finance, parish and school staff to maintain an accurate representation of each entity’s financial position in conjunction with other members of the finance office.

Primary job responsibilities:

  • Responsible for payroll and benefit processing for three independent entities;
  • Serve as liaison to both ADP and RBA payroll systems;
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and office deposit processing;
  • Serve as resource to all staff, committees and organizations within the parishes and school in matters of payroll and human resource;
  • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and internal controls throughout all entities;
  • Assist with internal audits as necessary;
  • Provide support and back up to finance office personnel;
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by finance director or parish management.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community or a willingness to function in a manner consistent with the mission of the Catholic Church;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field desired;
  • 2 years financial management experience ideally in a not-for-profit and/or school environment;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required;
  • Proficiency with MIP/SAGE accounting software desired;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Results oriented and process-driven;
  • Impeccable attention to detail;
  • Ability to honor and maintain confidentiality;
  • Must provide own transportation for job-related responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
