Out Of The Box Technology, a leading national QuickBooks consulting and bookkeeping firm has a need for a well-rounded graphics designer with an understanding of B2B marketing strategies and trends. The qualified candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the CEO, directors, and the marketing team to deliver quality marketing collateral to our internal staff, partners, prospects and clients that captures our brand, company, competitive values and ultimately defines who we are and what we do best by performing the following duties. . The qualified candidate for this position will work remotely from home (the majority of the time) and must have a minimum of 5 years related experience. Knowledge of QuickBooks or small business accounting is a major plus.

Essential Duties

1. Designs digital and print collateral (one-sheets, brochures, posters, mailers, manuals, e-books, reports, presentations, case studies, slide decks and more).

2. Works closely with the CEO, marketing team and subject matter experts to write engaging copy for websites, blogs, email newsletters, and further marketing deliverables across multiple circumstances including a variety of B2B products, locations, and markets.

3. Performs research about competitors, keyword research for SEO, data trends, topic inspiration, etc.

Job Duties

  • Designs vector and raster illustrations (infographics, icons and logos, infographic illustration, and more).
  • Designs digital assets including email and landing page design elements, banners, ads, image optimization, and
  • processing as accompanying elements of web pages.
  • Gathers feedback from directors, service, sales and marketing departments to provide each team with deliverables
  • needed to educate and inform clients.
  • Assists marketing team in project and campaign planning and execution.
  • Creates prototypes and functional specifications for marketing and business development projects and quickly
  • updates/rebrands archived content on a regular basis.
  • Utilizes internal tools including (but not limited to) Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator,
  • Acrobat), Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and marketing/email platforms (Pardot, Sendgrid,
  • Salesforce, Outlook and other ESP’s).
  • Helps define our brand and steadily distributes our message across multiple physical and virtual platforms (social
  • media, email, web, physical collateral, signage, swag, etc.) consistently.
  • Coordinates with external printers and producers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is
  • printed to the highest quality.
  • Reviews and optimizes existing web content including blogs and landing pages using SEO best practices.
  • Conducts any initial research to gain confidence in subject matter for web page or deliverable.
  • Displays exceptional creativity, innovation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Stays up-to-date of latest trends.
  • Demonstrates a professional approach to time, costs, and deadlines.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully takes direction from Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or equivalent experience with a minimum of five years’ B2B marketing experience in graphic design and copywriting. Experience working in a fast paced and ever-changing work environment. Comfortable bringing new insights and ideas to the table. Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Computer Skills

Most required work is almost exclusively on the computer, but the computer is not itself the focus of the position. Has an advanced understanding and capabilities in using applicable programs and knowledge of networks. Must be a strong reference for other users for performing different functions with the computer.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Job Duties:

  • Draft mockups of website designs, brochures, iconography, and any other marketing materials required
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and management to discuss which mockups are effective, and use their feedback to develop final drafts
  • Revise the work of previous designers to create a unified aesthetic for our brand materials
  • Work on multiple projects at once, and consistently meet draft deadlines
  • Other duties as requested
