Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a proficient Machine Operator to become an integral part of our team on our 1st shift. As a Machine Operator at Outlook, you will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the seamless operation and upkeep of our cutting-edge tissue manufacturing equipment. The machine operator’s role holds significant importance within our production process, as it involves ensuring the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of washroom paper products. This position entails operating a variety of machines, maintaining production efficiency, and fostering a positive team environment. This role exhibits attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of machines including Bretting Multi-fold, 7.1, Amica, and more.
- Maintain production efficiency levels as specified.
- Assist other shifts to achieve development and production goals.
- Perform inspections of machines and moving parts.
- Load parent rolls and perform startup operations.
- Contribute to a positive team environment with minimal supervision.
- Document product specifications and maintain quality standards.
- Participate in training meetings for safety, quality, and skill development.
- Achieve advanced efficiency levels on designated machines.
- Set up and monitor core machines, hoppers, and log saws.
- Perform minor machine maintenance and adjustments.
- Collaborate with external vendors for equipment optimization.
- Provide support in the installation of new manufacturing equipment. Operate multiple primary and/or secondary converting equipment.
- Independently troubleshoot and repair machine malfunctions.
- Collaborate with vendors for equipment optimization.
