What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Support Staff position at Outreach Center?
We are looking for compassionate, outgoing individuals to join our team of Program Support Staff. Direct Support Professionals are responsible for providing one-on-one support and direction in shelter setting. The ideal candidate will thrive in this rewarding position by providing daily support that helps individuals experiencing homelessness maintain their independence and offers additional benefits such as flexible work hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to people experiencing homelessness and their families.
- Support the person to have maximum control in setting and reaching personal goals.
- Enforcing house rules
- Answering the phones
- Assist people calling for assistance by partaking in diversion conversations and referrals
- Completing screening forms
- Screening callers to determine which are appropriate for agency services
- Clean and organize front area
- Report major problems of any kind to Case Manager/ Supervisor
- Clean client rooms upon move out
- Be a good example to others.
