Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Portray the Ke 'Ano Wa'a values (the Outrigger Way) with all customers, external and internal, including guests, patrons, travel partners and fellow employees. Represent the hotel as an official greeter or “Ambassador of Aloha". Supervises Bellstand Attendants and responsible for daily operations at the Valet/Bellstand. Loads and unloads guests’ baggage and delivers them to respective rooms, assists with arranging ground transportation, provides information to guests, delivers amenities, keeps driveway presentable and coordinates laundry pick up and delivery. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises, trains and develops the Bell/Valet hourly Hosts. Maintains open communications with the staff and guests and resolves issues and complaints to maximize staff morale and guest satisfaction. Unloads baggage, which may be stacked as high as 4’- 5’, from transporting vehicle. Transports baggage into lobby area via driveway, stairway or ramp using a 2-4 wheel cart. Counts and marks each piece of baggage. Frequent physical demands include bending, stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, grasping, lifting and twisting upper body. Repeat process when loading baggage for departure. Delivers baggage to and from guests’ room using 2 or 4 wheel cart or hand truck. Prepares necessary paperwork. Frequent physical demands include grasping, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting upper body and finger dexterity. Uses slide card key to unlock guests’ door. May have to lift and hand carry baggage up the stairs to guests’ room at certain properties. Provides information to tourists and guests. Delivers amenities to guests. Picks up and delivers guests’ laundry which requires grasping, carrying and climbing stairs. Cleans and polishes brass bell carts. Maintain a secured area for guests’ luggage in storage. Arranges ground transportation for guests, to include airport transportation and private tours. May assist with restaurant reservations as well. Assist guests when locked out. Assist the Communication Services department, Front Desk staff and Doorperson duties, if needed. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
