Outside The Box, LLC is a General Contractor specializing in construction and renovation work for the federal government. We are planning for progressive growth over the next several years, and are looking for ambitious, high-caliber professionals to grow with our company. We are currently looking to hire a Construction QC Manager for the Fort Jackson area who is able to get clearance for federal projects. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, highly responsible person with outstanding organizational and communication skills who can grow with the company.
The QC Manager will supervise and inspect three phases of control and tests; Preparatory Phase, Initial Phase, and Follow-up Phase. QC Manager will conduct weekly preparatory, safety and coordination meetings. Highly detail-oriented individual is required for the position. QC review of all submittals to ensure satisfactory requirements are met in compliance of contract specifications and design drawings.
Core Responsibilities:
- Daily usage of USACE RMS system is required.
- Coordinates and conducts all preparatory and safety meetings.
- Inspects all phases of construction.
- Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
- Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems.
- Orders materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
- Understands the project plans, specifications and the company systems.
- Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
- Prepares schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list.
- Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
- Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
- Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office.
- Meeting with subcontractors to ensure satisfactory job progress.
- Ensuring all daily reports and records are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Forwarding reports to the appropriate company personnel.
- Supervising, ordering and coordinating activities of labor, subcontractors and deliveries.
- Analyzing worker and production problems.
- Improving production methods or implementing motivational plans for review.
- Conferring with managers and technical associates in order to coordinate activities.
Education and Experience:
- 4-yr college degree preferred but not required. Desirable study concentration in building construction or construction management.
- In lieu of a degree, 10 years of successful construction work experience is acceptable.
- Federal experience, a plus.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects.
- Previous management experience, a plus.
- Fluency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- 30 Hour OSHA preferred.
- USACE RMS System usage required.
- USACE Construction Quality Control Management certification within past 5 years.
- First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and safety law.

Assignments & Benefits:
Salary range $75,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. The company promotes professional development with paid job-related training.
