Outside Interactive’s vision for the future of the creator economy is bold and moving quickly. The Outside Creator Network Director sits at the heart of Outside’s efforts to revolutionize how athletes, creators and outdoor influencers interact with media brands and communities. You will be in the Creator Marketing, Audience Engagement and Learn department, more specifically reporting up to the Audience Engagement leadership. This is a tight knit group of problem solvers and cross-functional content creators with a relentless drive to tell great stories and build thriving communities on social media. We are social creatives, data-driven thinkers, influencer and content marketing professionals. We work across more than 30 media brands and with countless creators to inspire people to get outside and do the activities they love.
You will occasionally collaborate with both Outside Learn (online education celebrating creators instructors) and Creator Marketing leadership and team as well.
Within 1 month, you will:
● Develop a plan to improve the organization of the Outside Creator Network by recommending a definitive CRM and other tools and processes for onboarding, communications and data management.
● Begin an ongoing cadence of communications with network members. Understand their current projects, ongoing needs and professional pain points, so we can build offerings to make the OCN compelling.
● Collaborate with the SMM on how the Outside Creator Network’s owned social channels (Roam 1.5M followers) can best serve the community and drive brand awareness and ultimately membership
● Meet with stakeholders in Outside’s creator marketing, branded content, marketing and other divisions to understand how creators can drive the membership and business as a whole forward into the future.
● Work with the Creator Marketing team to identify and contract creators for campaigns.
● Begin to build your team, engaging with direct reports and developing working relationships across the company.
Within 6 months, you will:
● Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of the OCN members, and recommend new creators to make the network more effective.
● Analyze the Outside Creator Network for best in class reach, content creation, authority, and diversity. Create a roadmap for the world’s best active lifestyle creator network that will be an example of best-in-class Creator/Community management to the social platforms, brands and other media outlets wordwide.
● Develop a process for onboarding new talent with a mindset for building an owned platform in the future.
● Build tight working relationships with key members of the network.
● Build communication processes for keeping creators engaged and informed.
● Work with various parts of Outside to place creators in marketing campaigns that drive Outside membership. .
● Develop the value proposition for creators, in order to ensure that the OCN is a vital part of their professional lives.
Within 12 months, you will:
● As a departmental leader, you’ll build, communicate and deliver on a vision for the long-term future of the OCN.
● Create a clear plan and budget recommendations for the OCN, and sell the value of the OCN across the company.
● Increase the number, diversity and utility of the creators in the network.
● Implement value-adding network initiatives that encourage members to join and participate in the network.
● Stay abreast of trends in the creator economy and continually drive the network into the future with new research and ideas.
What YOU bring to Outside:
● 5 years experience in PR, social media, influencer marketing and talent management
● A relentless drive for learning. This field changes fast, and you'll need to stay abreast of trends and changes in real time.
● Passion for social-first content marketing, diversity, community building, building systems and a genuine love for the outdoors.
● Fluency in all major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) and passion about utilizing and optimizing their features
● Experience working with athletes, creators and talent
● Experience managing teams
● Experience with subscription or membership platforms
● Interest and understanding of Web3.0
Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $96,000 to $120,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission . Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away, sick leave, and more. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
