Ink Mixer

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes mixing orders according to scheduled business and rushes
  • Locates and follows mixing recipes for each color as stated in work software
  • Creates new recipes as needed to develop the right color match
  • Adjusts recipes according to the color and type of product to be printed
  • Adjusts amount of ink according to type of product and quantity of prints
  • Uses a weighing scale to add inks to recipe being mixed
  • Uses thinners as needed to thin inks to the right consistency
  • Monitors ink inventories and orders ink (usually two-three times per week)
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Maintains effective working relationships with other associates
  • Actively participates in and supports teamwork and continuous process improvement

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or relevant skills
  • At least 18 years of age or older
  • Performs duties safely and in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Must have the ability to lift 40lbs.
  • Must have a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and commitment through cross training and helping other departments consistent with business needs
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested by supervisor/management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
