Position Requirements and Responsibilities:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences from an accredited college or university and three (3) years full time child placement experience obtained after the bachelor’s degree was conferred.
- If the individual has a master’s degree in the Social or Behavioral Sciences, then they must have a minimum of one (1) year of child placement experience.
- Experience working with various team members and coordination of teams while utilizing excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Department of Human Services, intakes, and out-of-home placements.
- Ability to complete Structured Analysis Family Evaluation (SAFE) home studies and upon completion of home studies, the ability to recommend approval or denial of certification of perspective foster homes.
- Working knowledge of child protection laws and Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) rules and regulations.
- Must have solid computer and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
- Ability and willingness to work some hours outside of normal working hours to respond to emergencies or to otherwise meet the needs of the people we serve and their families.
- Must have consistent access to reliable transportation that will allow for quick response in an emergency.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License from the state in which you reside and maintain a clean driving record and proof of insurance per company insurance guidelines.
- Must Pass background check and other regularly scheduled screening requirements per company guidelines
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Manage the coordination of intake and development activities for the CPA/CHRP programs, working closely with the Director of Children’s Services.
- Review all Request for Proposals (RFP) for placement options with Overture and respond to each RFP within 24 business hours.
- Provide intensive case management to individual children and their families and coordinate services.
- Assist in coordinating medical services for the children placed in the care of any foster home certified by Overture and ensure that the children attend all necessary appointments and follow-up visits.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation training for new foster homes.
- Complete SAFE Home studies, foster care certifications and annual recertifications.
- Complete home assessments of the physical environment for foster homes for compliance with regulations, then continue to provide support and monitor foster homes by conducting monthly home visits and environmental studies to assess the ability of foster homes to meet the child(ren) needs.
- Act as a liaison with courts, schools, foster parents, and all peripheral parties and attend all staffing, school, and treatment team meetings to facilitate the successful collaboration of service providers under the direct supervision of the Director of Children’s Services.

- May assist with administrative duties within Overture office (filing, answering phone calls, etc.).
- Help identify struggling families and possible placement disruptions in order to provide additional support.
- Respond to conflicts or concerns pertaining to foster home performance.
- Ensure compliance and monitoring for all aspects of Foster Family Certification.
- Provide annual training to foster parents according to agency’s trauma informed practices and protocols and support with providing ongoing trainings.
- Coordinate and facilitate the development of support plans and assessments identified in the Individualized Plan (IP)/Service Plan (SP) for everyone on caseload, ensuring accuracy, quality and efficiency standards are met.
- Assist with locating resources to help the children and foster families achieve their goals.
- Complete thorough, accurate, and timely assessments, plans, and other documentation tasks necessary to ensure ongoing funding for services for everyone on caseload.
