We are currently looking for individuals to join the OvertureXL team by creating your profile in our system so that our Pennsylvania area employers can review your qualifications and their needs. We currently have a multi-facility, fast-growing client seeking assistance with per diem coverage to cover shifts on a weekly basis. This is a perfect opportunity for healthcare professionals that want to expand their professional networks and pick up additional shifts or for professionals returning to healthcare that want total control over their schedules and work/life balance.
Compensation and Shifts:
- Pay Rate: $30 - 32 per hour
- Shifts Open: Day Shift, Night Shift, Weekend Shifts
- Weekly pay (Thursday)
- Direct Deposit
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recognizes and reports symptoms that indicate changes in the condition of the patient to the Nursing Supervisor, Charge RN, and/or physician as appropriate.
- Provides nursing care and services that is in accordance with patient care and general medical policies.
- Assists the physician and/or Registered Nurse in the performance of specific procedures required by the patient and at an appropriate level for the LPN / LVN.
- Observes, records, and reports to the appropriate professional the symptoms, reactions, and changes.
- Performs selected nursing procedures, including administration of medications and treatments prescribed by the physician; and b. Preparation and care of patients receiving specialized treatments administered by the physician or the professional nurse.
- Assists with patients according to the medical care plan.
- Promotes cooperative effort among personnel by understanding the functions of other persons involved in patient care and by active participation in team and staff conferences when appropriate.
- Administers medications, IV's (when allowed by state regulation) and treatments, observing aseptic techniques adequately.
- Will work with Covid cases and assist as needed on the unit.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 6-12 months of recent (within the last year) experience in Long Term Care/Nursing Home setting
- Licensed Practical Nursing degree from an accredited institution
- Active LPN License
- Current CPR Certification OR BLS Certification
- Annual Physical
- TB test (within 1 year of hire)
- COVID Vaccination Card
- MMR Vaccine
- Varicella Vaccine
- Dementia training preferred
