Posting Close Date: 12/15/2023 Ovintiv is seeking a Contracts Analyst to work with a progressive group of professionals on the U.S. Midstream team. This position will be based in our Denver office and will be responsible for effectively managing and administering the U.S. Midstream contracts portfolio. The successful candidate will also be responsible for proactively collaborating with various internal clients (including commercial services, legal, accounting, tax and regulatory) to ensure that all contractual matters are addressed promptly and efficiently. The position will report to the Manager of U.S. Midstream Contracts. Responsibilities: In conjunction with legal counsel, draft and review standard midstream contracts and ensure all contracts are approved and executed in compliance with company’s policies and practices Analyze, setup and maintain U.S. Midstream agreements in company’s contract management system Review, forward and update contract notifications to ensure compliance with contract terms Maintain dedication data for mapping of U.S. Midstream agreements Circulate agreements through Adobe Sign for approval and signature Assist with audit requests - identify contracts and determine whether consents to disclose are required, and prepare consents as required Assist with A&D activity – determine affected dedications, whether consents to disclose and/or assign are required. Prepare required documentation to facilitate transaction. Follow-up on post-close items. Administer Scan and Destroy Policy - inventory terminated / expired contracts on an annual basis; obtain appropriate approvals for destruction Build a strong rapport and provide contract administration support to Commercial Services and other internal and external stakeholders Execute on special projects as needed Locate and define new process improvement opportunities Qualifications: 5 or more years of contract and/or land experience Undergraduate degree in a legal or business-related subject a plus Working knowledge of midstream contracts a plus Knowledge and previous experience with database management, use of Microsoft Suite, Spotfire, PowerBI, SCADA, etc. a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Capable of prioritizing and navigating a high-volume workload Proficient in executing on challenging assignments independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to produce results with a high level of accuracy Highly motivated, self-driven, strong communicator with the ability to work under minimal supervision and capable of working with commercial services, legal, accounting and other stakeholders Must be a creative thinker with a willingness to challenge the status quo and the ability to implement new ideas, processes, and technologies In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role. HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $130,000 USD Compensation may vary and will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
