Essential Functions
Essential Function
Lead custodian is responsible for training new and current 2nd Shift custodians and taking lead on 2nd Shift Custodial-related projects such as floor cleaning and conditioning, carpet cleaning, etc. This position is lead for all 2nd shift custodial emergencies such as spills, blood borne pathogens and disinfectant requests. This position takes lead on 2nd Shift setups and teardowns – 2nd shift handles 75% of all setups and teardowns. This position can access and adjust work orders and creates new ones in the system as needed and assists the Facility Services Manager with PPE and disinfectant efforts on campus.
Essential Function
Custodial Duties: Performs thorough cleaning, sweeping, mopping and dusting throughout assigned areas during assigned hours. Picks up trash and debris and keeps areas clean. Cleans walls, windows, and furniture. Sets up furniture and equipment for special events. Performs other custodial-related tasks as required. Ensures that assigned areas are properly maintained and restrooms are stocked with towels and toilet tissue. Performs now and ice removal as needed. Reports facilities issues that need addressed.
