Team Lead, Solution Engineering

The Job

Own is on a growth trajectory, and we are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Solution Engineering Team Lead to oversee a team of Solution Engineers in the Mid-Market segment. As the Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in hunting for new business opportunities, driving strategic initiatives, and contributing to the flourishing SaaS industry.

Your Day-to-Day Role

• Team Leadership: Oversee and lead a small team of Solution Engineers, providing guidance and support throughout the entire sales cycle while maintaining your own book of business
• Territory Ownership: Take charge of the team's territory and book of business, conducting optimal whitespace analysis, and identifying top accounts for targeted revenue growth.
• Strategic Planning: Understand target organizations' buying processes and personas, guiding the team to optimize conversions at each stage.
• Prospect Engagement: Drive prospect traffic to Own's Self Service Trial offering, supporting prospects during their testing and evaluation process.
• Business Plans: Develop and execute detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of team goals and quota.
• Collaboration: Foster cross-functional collaboration with Solution Engineers, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to provide critical customer feedback loops that influence product roadmap enhancements.
• Client Management: Manage and coordinate evaluation and purchasing processes with complex clients, especially in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services and Life Sciences.
• Salesforce Management: Ensure accurate record-keeping and forecasting in Salesforce.

Your Work Experience

• Sales Experience: 3 years of quota-carrying experience selling SaaS applications, with a proven track record in a consultative selling approach.
• Leadership: Leadership experience or a demonstrated ability to lead and guide a team of Solution Engineers to success.
• Hunter Mindset: A history of identifying key accounts/prospects using prospecting tools like ZoomInfo, SalesNav, etc.
• Tool Familiarity: Familiarity with tools such as SalesLoft and ZoomInfo.
• Adaptability: Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
• Salesforce Knowledge: Working knowledge of Salesforce.

Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
