Position Summary
The Information Technology Technician primarily provides operational administration and support for the suite of core casino systems to ensure a smooth operation with minimal interruptions. The Information Technology Technician works to ensure applications are performing properly and keeps system versions current. The IT Tech will also provide user desktop support as required.
_ This position is held typically by employees with Associates Degree in Computer Science or other formal training in computer technology or equivalent experience and/or certification of proven skill._
_ Essential Job Functions_
_

• Ensures computing systems are operating in compliance with the Gaming Control Board regulations

• Creates and maintains end-users account and permissions in Active Directory, Gaming Applications, and Local Computers, as required.

• Employees in this position will have a strong concept of protocols, DOS commands, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Maintains all property-wide user-based computers, applications, upgrades, and security to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, and Regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, gaming, hotel, point of sale, etc. and contacts respective vendors for help with more advanced situations.

• Follows Standard Operating Procedures, and Compliance Guidelines

• Assists with maintaining departmental procedures

• Provides end user desktop support and helps keep casino employees productive.

• This position requires in-depth knowledge of current desktop operating systems and printer technologies

• Captures, deploys standardized workstation configurations and maintains PC s to current configuration levels, and other duties assigned by supervisor

• Troubleshoot gaming system related to outages and operations

• Track user access in applications using log files and other techniques.
• Ensures computing systems are operating in compliance with the Gaming Control Board regulations.
• Configures the Point of Sale application and related hardware (Infogenesis).
• Maintains and supports the Gaming system applications (Oasis, Bravo, MGT and others).
• Provides end user desktop support and helps keep casino employees productive.
• Creates department documentation and forms and designs enhancements.
• Participates in On-Call rotation

Physical Demands and Work Environment_
The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking over rough uneven or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as cases of cards.
The work environment involves everyday risk of discomforts, requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting rooms, libraries, residences, or commercial vehicles. Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, and traffic signals is needed. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
