What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at Oxford Foods?
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience from greeting guest as they enter to restaurant through taking the order accurately and efficiently and finally while thanking the guest for their business as handing them their orders. Responsible for entering charges on the cash register, taking payments and providing accurate change back.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Service:
1. Greet each guest entering the restaurant with a smile.
2. Take orders from guest, repeating back orders to ensure they are accurate before sending to the back of house.
3. Take orders over the phone, repeating back orders to ensure they are accurate before sending to the back of house.
4. Verify each order to the ticket before handing it off to the guest.
5. Thank each guest for their business when handing them their order and invite them to return.
Cash Handling:
1. Enter each ticket accurately.
2. Receive payment by cash or credit cards.
3. Count change back to the guest to ensure the correct change is given.
4. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift to ensure that amounts are correct.
5. Follow all guidance in the Oxford Foods Register and Cash Management Policy.
Sanitation and Restaurant Appearance:
1. Ensure all lobby tables and booths are cleaned in preparation for guests and between guests.
2. Ensure lobby trash cans are kept emptied and are not overflowing.
3. Ensure that the lobby doors, rugs, furniture, windows, and any other lobby areas are kept clean and dust free.
4. Ensure drink station and ice machine is kept clean and in good working order.
5. Ensure that restroom are kept clean and well stocked.
Quality:
1. Verify that prepared food meets Zaxby’s requirement for quality.
2. Verify that all orders are prepared with the appropriate amounts and types of items.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be at least 16 years of age.
2. Moderate reading and writing skills.
3. Proficient communication skills.
4. Ability to follow written and oral directives.
5. Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
6. Skill in handling and counting cash.

Salary : $17,500 - $22,200
