As a Senior IT Architect, you will play a pivotal role in modernization and transformation projects, with a specific focus on replacing a legacy cobalt mainframe system with a cutting-edge cloud platform such as OneShield. Your expertise will drive the architectural decisions and technical direction, ensuring the successful transition to modern, efficient, and scalable systems.
Responsibilities
As a Senior IT Architect, you will play a pivotal role in modernization and transformation projects, with a specific focus on replacing a legacy cobalt mainframe system with a cutting-edge cloud platform such as OneShield. Your expertise will drive the architectural decisions and technical direction, ensuring the successful transition to modern, efficient, and scalable systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of modernization and transformation projects.
- Research and evaluate cloud platforms like OneShield to determine their suitability for the organization's needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop architectural strategies, roadmaps, and solutions.
- Ensure that the architectural vision aligns with business goals, scalability, and future-proofing.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems while maintaining legacy systems during the transition.
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in solution architecture, with a proven track record in leading modernization and transformation projects.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly OneShield, and their integration into existing systems.
- Strong knowledge of architecture best practices, including microservices, containerization, and DevOps.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on implementation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) is a plus.
