We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Lead Electrical within our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, based in either Kermit or Pecos, Texas. Primary Purpose Responsible for executing Low-Voltage scopes of a project including MCC, VFD, Panels, Instrumentation, PLC. Work with the Electrical Low Voltage Leader to develop a long-term vision and strategy for Projects Execution that aligns with Corporate Vision. Oversee the implementation of governance best practices for the construction of various Electrical systems. Ensure that the best processes, tools and technologies are leveraged across the different assets. Ensure a strict adherence to company policies and standards.The Low Voltage Construction Lead will lead teams of technicians / subcontractors and will work with BU and the electrical maintenance team to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and according to specifications / plans. Roles and Responsibilities: - Sets direction and strategy to meet targets - Ensure the proper construction of electrical low voltage systems - Facilitate alignment and allocation of resources - Global perspective to tie Electrical team to Business Unit - Creates an environment where members of the team make the day-to-day decisions while providing the tools, training, and support needed to make those decisions. - Ensure the working environment is conducive to productivity to meet BU targets - Remove roadblocks and impediments, manages conflict (internal and external) - Manage, communicate and ensure compliance with Oxy Electrical standards and best practices - Design and implement staff development programs - Responsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction / relations - Establishes schedules based on project scope and assigns labor to accomplish objectives - Create accurate submittals, issue RFIs and coordinate with the project engineers - Attend jobsite meetings and provide field supervision - Responsible for change order management, properly documenting changes to scope and obtaining approval from the Engineering team or project managers - Ensures that quality standards are maintained for all projects - Provide recommendation to improve electrical construction standard - Provides customer satisfaction by resolving any concerns or problems and communicates progress to all necessary parties - Maintains accurate status reports and project reviews - Manages multiple projects at once - Present recommendations and approval request to senior management - Identify and enhance inefficiencies of processes and control equipment - Lead continuous improvement teams - Create an integrated electrical construction strategy - Participate in QAQC audit processes - Effectively utilize resources internal and external of the business unit - Participate in multidisciplinary technical reviews of major assets and/or new business ventures - Participate in annual and long-term business planning - Complete staffing plans / forecast to ensure adequate staffing level to support business plan - Successfully recruit, hire and onboard employees that are a good fit for the position & organization - Develop others’ professional and technical skills through performance management (e.g., goal setting, coaching/feedback, training/development) - Develop and/or manage programs, systems and practices for maintaining & enhancing a safe, productive, and environmentally sound work environment - Provide Technical Support and Legal review to other company disciplines as necessary - Develop and/or manage programs, systems and practices for maintaining & enhancing a safe, productive, and environmentally sound work environment
Qualifications:
Qualifications: Education: - 4 year technical degree or equivalent working experience - High School diploma or GED Professional/Technical Knowledge: - Expert knowledge of Construction Electrical Systems in West Texas - Expert knowledge of industrial electrical systems - Knowledgeable of electrical safety on the workplace requirements as found in publications such as NFPA70E, NEC, NESC and OSHA standards Experience: - 8 years of Oil Field experience in West Texas - 2 years of Managerial experience Skills & Competencies: - Expert level of understanding of automation and electrical principles. - Understanding of PSSRs and MOCs. - Extensive expertise in a safe workplace. - Knowledge of material specifications and application - Ability to manage Budget - Strong Leadership and Mentoring skills - Ability to perform under pressure - Excellent Communication and relationship skills - Knowledge of operations and reservoirs - understanding of economic and financial analysis - Conflict management - Ability to build and manage teams - Networking ability - Strong decision-making skills - Drive for results - Creativity and innovation - Adapts to change and ambiguity - Understands business process and regulatory requirements Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation.
