(Open to being a Float position as well). Full-time (open to part-time and PRN)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff Physical Therapist. Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff Physical Therapist, after the physical therapist has evaluated the patient. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The Physical Therapy Assistant participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, participates in CQI activities, and performs other departmental duties as assigned by the Rehabilitation Services Manager. Ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Adheres to departmental attendance policy.
Hours/Days:
- Hourly: Monday-Friday. Generally 8:00-5:00
- Setting: Mostly Home Health in Van Buren County. Cross-train to other areas as needed.

Regulatory Requirements:
- Associate's degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Holds current license as Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Current BLS certification.
- At least one year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred.
