ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews purchasing policies and procedures and recommends updates to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Reviews and analyzes purchase orders and subcontracting instruments for CPSR and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain procurement files and procurement data within Costpoint.
- Assists with advising customers regarding customer contract requirements, and government /federal regulations.
- Support strategic organizational objectives/initiatives.
- Manage and expand supplier activities to strengthen relationships, create sourcing solutions, and foster longer term agreements.
- Responsible for identifying potential new sources of supply, executing, and managing vendor agreements.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions.
- Managing material budgets and drive cost savings.
- Establish relationships with functional organizations to ensure smooth communication across the value streams.
- Drive continuous improvement ideas and innovative concepts to promote creativity. Develop and support teams that make suggestions, take initiative, and actively implement improvement.
- Work with Director of Contracts to implement Contractor Purchasing Review System (CPSR) best practices, lead training initiatives and create an environment for organizational success and overall CPSR compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
- Must have Minimum 2 years of related experience with subcontracts, procurement, or supply chain functions under federal government contracts.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), Costpoint Procurement module, and other standard (Customer specified) applications.
- Must have previous experience working within an approved CPSR system.
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
