About the position:
The primary responsibilities are operation of CNC plasma table including material selection, efficient use of material, loading & unloading with overhead cranes, quality control, and working within an often ambitious daily production schedule. The Plasma Operator is expected to gain a mastery of the machine and participate in preventing and troubleshooting problems. This position also performs other key tasks such as final inspection, loading and unloading materials with forklift and overhead cranes, and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment. This is a full time position Monday through Thursday 6am-4:30 pm.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and dependable individual who has excellent measuring skills, strong math skills, and attention to detail. Candidate must appreciate working in a shop environment with large steel fabrication equipment and multiple overhead cranes. An appreciation for small business is critical; all employees are expected to help keep our workplace clean and organized. A commitment to safe work practices is a must. Stronger candidates will have experience with overhead crane and forklift operation, as well as metalworking and familiarity with CNC machines.
