Overview
Connecticut based Fortune 500 company is looking for a Director of Operations Excellence to join their growing team and deliver successful outcomes to their client.
Responsibilities
Project Management
Operations project management – lead or be involved with all operational optimization activities within the account.
Project implementation and ongoing execution – for all services including mail, shredding, scanning, overnight accommodations, etc.
Identify process improvement opportunities for the business operations where technology could play a role in the solution.
Business Process
Business process compliance – identify and follow machines design for all aspect of services provided to client as outlined in the MSA.
Act as the voice of the customer internally; as the steward of customer service, work cross-functionally with internal functional departments to ensure Services are maximized for availability and productivity for the client.
Innovation
Problem Solver – deepen knowledge of business complexities to effectively identify key operational issues, determine root causes and develop sustainable solutions
Communicator – prepare report-outs for presentation during client business reviews, internal quarterly business reviews, and as required.
Technology
Liaise with IT technical support, and other areas of the business to ensure client satisfaction.
Intervene with vendor technology teams where necessary to resolve problems or/escalations.
Serve as the clients’ subject matter expert (SME), providing guidance and addressing challenges.
Serve as the primary interface to manage and resolve any Technology related Service situations.
Manage resolution of incidents and problems in the field, and act as escalation point for urgent and complicated support.
Business continuity planning and execution in conjunction with appropriate business and technology groups
Qualifications

Ability to influence and collaborate with others to coordinate activities and accomplish
Proven project management skills and experience; strong financial acumen
Strong computer skills; able to build effective
Strong presentation and public speaking skills
Proven ability to lead, develop and impact high performance
Ability to communicate and work well with cross-functional teams and at all levels in the organization (internal and external)
Ability to handle multiple priorities from diverse levels of
Results-oriented focus to ensure delivery of operational reports and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion.
Self-starter, self-driven, with a high level of self-initiative and the ability to prioritize, work independently and manage time effectively.
Education/Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, Project Management, Operations, or related field
Industrial Engineering experience (or similar), including preferably *Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma
Experience in IT strategy and execution, systems design, configuration, information security and deployment
Experience in project management, business process analysis, or advanced business intelligence or analytics a plus.
