SQL Developer / DBA

Description

 Please note this is Hybrid role with 3 days onsite at our Houston office.

• Deep experience in SQL Database Development, TSQL, Stored Procedures, OLTP, and working with large data sets.
• Improve database reliability and performance from within the DevOps team while partnering with Engineering to ensure quality and stability with new releases.
• Proficiency in working with Azure DevOps and Azure Services, such as,  Azure SQL Database,  Azure Data factory, Cosmos DB and Blob Storage.
• Experience in Data Modeling and Schema Design skills, including Normalization and De-Normalization.
• Work with peer DevOps Engineers to roll out changes to our production environment and help mitigate database-related production incidents.
• Provide database expertise to Engineering teams (through reviews of database migrations, queries, and performance optimizations)
• Plan for and extrapolate data growth and manage the capacity database infrastructure.
• Support and debug production database issues across services and environments
• Azure Cloud experience, ADF, Azure Synapse, and Data Lakes are preferred skills.

Requirements

• Strong experience in writing high performing complex queries Azure SQL.
• T-SQL Performance Troubleshooting and Tuning
• SQL API and Stored Procs for Azure Cosmos DB.
• Azure Search, Azure Table Storage, Azure Blob Storage
• Experience in working with Redis
• Familiarity with C# scripts, Java Scripts & KQL
• Azure DevOps CICD pipelines for SQL Projects
