Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide 1:1 support to female individuals with mental disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with disabilities and possess a patient-centered approach to care for her. Pay $18.00 up to $19.00 per hour depending on experience provide 4 hours (3:30 pm-7:30 pm) Monday through Friday and 12 hours (7:30 am to 7:30 pm) on Saturday and Sunday
NOTE: Also seeking a on call back up DSP for female clients 7:30a-3:30p and 3:30 pm-7:30 pm and on weekends
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as evening meal preparation
- Provide transportation for community outings
- Ensure medications are taken and monitored
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and social events
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and individual progress
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the well-being of individuals
Experience:
- Prior experience working with individuals with mental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices in patient care
- Familiarity with mental health principles and protocols
- Certification in First Aid is a plus
