Job Title Scientist - C&D Lab Job Description The role of the senior scientist is to build and maintain the Cleaning and Disinfection lab at Philips New Kensington and ensure the lab meets and maintains ISO 17025 compliance. Additionally, the senior scientist will be required to build and execute cleaning and disinfection test plans and procedures and analyze the resultant data to create reports to support the development and maintenance of Philips Sleep and Respiratory Care 's product catalog. Your role: Provide expert advice on experimental methods Microbiological testing to support new product development and sustaining activities. Develop, maintain and monitor the necessary processes and documentation required to maintain compliance to GLP level standards. Ensure the necessary study plans, protocols, processes and other documentation for studies are intended for submission to a regulatory body are established, documented, implemented, maintained and reported to GLP level standards. Act as a point of contact for quality processes during auditing of laboratories by external & Internal parties, for conformance to GLP level standards when requested and to the Proper WI, QSP and QMS. Plan, perform and co-ordinate the microbiological testing of products, in conjunction with the product project groups Present clear and accurate protocols and reports and interpret data in line with the Company’s current guidelines, for presentation to stakeholders. Co-ordinate, collaborate, coach and train other staff who may from time to time be assigned to microbiological testing of products. Assist other research and development staff in the development of new intellectual property. Perform experimental work in a safe manner in compliance with current legislation and Philips EHS rules and guidelines. Assess laboratory processes with regard to health and safety rules and guidelines. Ensure that all laboratory activities are in compliance with the current quality system and Advise test facility management on any quality issues in the laboratories and suggest solutions. Act as one of the company’s representative with external bodies. Perform duties as the Company’s Biosafety Officer (BSO You're the right fit if: US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa BS in Pharmacology, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, (MS Preferred) 8 years experience in a laboratory environment preferably a microbiological / R&D laboratory. Willingness to travel nationally & internationally, as required.
