PAC NYC seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Membership Manager to join our Individual Giving team. Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Membership Manager will play a pivotal role in cultivating and stewarding our membership program. This role is instrumental in ensuring our membership base's continued growth and engagement, which is a vital source of financial support and community engagement. Additionally, the Membership Manager will support events and help execute multifaceted direct mail, email, and social media fundraising campaigns.
Your key responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to recruit, retain, and upgrade individual members, focusing on effective donor stewardship to build strong donor relationships.
- Collaborate with the Director of Individual Giving to set membership goals, benchmarks, and strategies aligned with the organization's fundraising objectives.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the membership program, including acquisition, renewal, and recognition initiatives, including any donor recognition programs.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding for membership materials, particularly in digital fundraising, including online giving platforms, crowdfunding, and social media campaigns.
- Partner with the Development Operations Manager to help maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records in the organization's database for donor recognition and benefit fulfillment and utilize data analysis skills for tracking the effectiveness of individual giving campaigns.
- Collaborate with the events team, marketing, and development team to ensure a coordinated approach to fundraising efforts.
- Act as the initial point of contact via phone and email, providing exceptional customer service to donors by promptly addressing inquiries and handling ticket requests professionally and efficiently.
- Identify and cultivate major gift prospects within the membership base.
- Provide regular reports and analyses on membership performance to the Director of Individual Giving and other stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in membership management.
What it takes to be successful in the role
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in membership management, donor relations, or individual giving within the non-profit sector.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using donor databases and CRM software, such as Spektrix.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

PAC NYC currently operates on a hybrid model, which requires employees to be in the office 3 days / week, with the option to work remotely 2 days / week.
This position will remain open until a diverse and qualified pool of finalists has been identified.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary will range between $65,000 and $75,000 plus full benefits. Our benefits package includes health, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment and disability benefits, and self-insured dental, vision and health care and dependent day care flexible spending accounts. Full time employees are eligible for paid time off and 401K enrollment with employer match.
