Requisition Summary

The Events Coordinator (EC) will manage and execute trade shows, sales events and support the Events Manager for Peterbilt Motors Company. The EC should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills, flexibility, creativity, budget management and customer service skills to create a superior event experience representative of the Peterbilt brand.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Management and execution of industry trade shows, sales events, training events and customer events.
• Management and coordination of customer outings.
• Allocation and tracking of supplier funding.
• Utilization of Cvent platform for RFP creation, venue selection and online event registration.
• Management and adherence to Events budget.
• Provide support to the Events Manager for larger meetings and events as needed.
• Assessment of latest trends, platforms or emerging technologies to elevate the customer experience.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed up to 25% as well as to work evenings and weekends based upon event demand.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Meeting and Event Management or related discipline such as Hospitality.
• 1 – 3 years of event/hospitality experience in the coordination and execution of trade shows, meetings and events.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on quality.
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability and flexibility.
• High level of creative thinking.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Understanding of audience engagement and the creation of a superior customer experience.
