Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Monitor Finished Machining and/or Assembly Buffer with the ability to properly analyze all component's usage and consumption rates based on build rate
  • Monitor Machining and/or Assembly WIP flow to ensure proper availability
  • Manage weekly production schedule to meet customer demand
  • Reconcile Orders placed against orders completed
  • Demand Analysis
  • Provide customers and other teams with needed information upon request
  • Review Approved Future Spec Week Changes and Verify Parts are Planned Correctly to Scheduled Changes
  • Review All Assigned Parts and Suggested Order changes Per Daily MRP Run, Initiate Releases or Corrective Actions as Required
  • Ensure adequate planning for all required parts
  • Maintain target inventory goals for all parts
  • Ensure system accuracy for Master Data on all assigned parts
  • Respond to Assembly, Machining, and/or Material Handling Issues with relation to Inbound Deliveries or shortages
  • Review SAP Error Logs, and Correct Issues as to not affect production
  • Follow up with Suppliers, Transportation, Cross Dock, etc. to Ensure Plans are Set to Resolve Each Known Pending Shortage
  • Coordinate with Traffic Department to schedule material pick-ups
  • Work With Suppliers to Resolve any Issues, Schedule Questions, Container Shortages, Container Expedites, Etc.
  • Must be a positive contributor to a team environment
  • Other Customer Service requirements as necessary
  • Work with Quality, Machining, and other Material groups on any issues affecting production output or finished inventory buffers


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Experience with SAP or other MRP / ERP system required
  • Computer literacy is required with familiarity with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Material planning experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel preferred
  • Production Scheduling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of Six-Sigma, Kaizen, and/or Continuous Improvement Concepts preferred
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, well organized, flexible, and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation
  • The candidate must be able to operate independently and with little guidance
  • Must be a positive contributor to a team environment required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of advanced systems and basic database relationships
  • Ability to work flexible work schedule
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and evaluate complex situations to recommend sound action plans.
