JOB OVERVIEW: Develop and implement a PR strategy to achieve industry-leading share of voice and thought leadership for the Peterbilt brand.
JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a champion for Peterbilt initiatives in the trade press.- Develop strong messaging focused on company products, services and initiatives.
- Liaise with internal subject matter experts and company executives to identify potential topics of interest to industry audiences.
- Interface with trade associations and community organizations to promote Peterbilt’s values and ensure positive brand exposure.
- Provide support to Peterbilt Executives in the development of presentations and speeches for industry events, trade shows and internal meetings.
- Act as spokesperson for Peterbilt and respond to media requests.
- Set and achieve share of voice goals for the Peterbilt brand.
- Manage in-house magazine editorial content and production.
- Support the Marketing Communications team by developing copy and content ideas for Peterbilt.com, social media platforms and marketing collateral.
Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications or related field OR combination of technical or other degree and industry experience.- 5 years of experience in the trucking industry.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience in top trade press publication.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Sound judgement, professionalism and ability to represent Peterbilt in a variety of internal and external settings.
- Comfortable with fast-paced environment and changing priorities.
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- Up to 20% travel required.
