Job Summary
The SAP Network and Planning Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for the execution and performance of transportation planning through the SAP Transportation Management System (TMS) for all supplier inbound activity to PACCAR plants across North America. They monitor the planning of all regional planners through the Transportation Management System and perform any necessary updates to SAP. The SAP Network and Planning analyst will also lead strategic initiatives to identify areas of network improvement or planning process to include cost saving and efficiency.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Analyze SAP data to identify network and cost savings in the planning process
Utilizing SAP data, generate reports and strategies to communicate logistics metrics across PACCAR and to identify gaps in the planning process
Work with the Lead Logistics Planner to identify TMS processes, procedures, and standards, specifically viewing from the lens of identifying network efficiencies
Serve as SAP Transportation Management System subject matter expert for the Logistics Center, being able to troubleshoot TMS issues and perform system modifications to provide solutions
Collaborate with Logistics Planners, Traffic Teams, and internal stakeholders to identify SAP process improvements to increase network efficiency
Coordinate with the SAP Business System Owner to assist in serving as a liaison to ITD to resolve TMS system issues that require IT involvement
Train and onboard suppliers on the functions, operation, and interface of the Transportation Management System
Assists in regional planning when onboarding new suppliers and during gaps in personnel
Serve as a source of SAP TMS direction, training, and guidance for less experienced departmental staff.

Skills/Competencies
SAP Transportation Management System experience
FourKites experience
Knowledge of supply chain and material management process
Strong Excel or Tableau data analysis skills
Ability to communicate to senior management
Experience managing projects with multiple contacts
Ability to maintain policy and procedure documentation
Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities in a changing environment
Strong written and oral skills
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Quality and results-driven work ethic
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years transportation, logistics or related experience
SAP Transportation Management System experience preferred
Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean, certification preferred
Education
Bachelors Degree required
MBA or Masters in Supply Chain Management desired
