Job Summary
Lead all aspects of systems engineering development for Vehicle Powertrain systems functionality, including requirements definition, analysis and development of their applicable system. Implement new feature and functions. Build Control Function Architecture with assistance from architecture team. Lead/participate in software peer reviews and Functional Safety to ensure compliance to requirements. Provide technical leadership for sophisticated technology development. Collaborate with other Systems Engineers and subject matter experts to define and negotiate key functional and performance requirements. Root cause all applicable system related issues during testing and validation.
This position is located at PACCAR’s North Texas office in Lewisville.

This position is located at PACCAR’s North Texas office in Lewisville.
Responsibilities
- Working with multiple teams to deliver technical concepts and resulting software features/components;
- Improving embedded software development processes and tools, including Simulink and hardware-in-loop test methods, to provide definition, documentation and requirements support to engineering
- Developing targets and requirements and evaluating for feasibility across operating conditions;
- Executing processes and systems and participating in process improvement activities;
- Investigating failures and recommending modifications to fix system defects.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 3 years of systems engineering experience.
- Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate systems engineering experience.
