BioAnalytical Research Scientist - Quality Control

OVERVIEW
This position will actively support quality control testing for clinically impactful regenerative medicine technologies. The technologies being developed are utilizing extracellular vesicle science, focused on exosomes. The testing being performed is crucial to ensuring the effective development and safe application of regenerative medicine technologies. The Research Scientist will be responsible for overseeing the performance of testing methods developed to characterize a cell-based therapeutic product. Work is performed as part of a team in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, set up and perform analytical testing
- Follow documentation requirements
- Track and trend GMP Quality Control testing data
- Assure validity of test system results
- Perform product characterization testing
- Maintain instrumentation
- Validate methods for use in GMP environment
- Develop test methods as needed
- Supervise the work of 1 assay development associates
- Perform housekeeping to assure laboratory is maintained in a safe condition
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in cellular biology, or related science
- 5 years of experience working in a laboratory
- Strong knowledge of bioanalytical assays (ELISA, Western blot, colorimetric assays)
- Strong knowledge of mammalian cell culture
- Familiarity with flow cytometry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong intrinsic motivation
- Strong active listening skills
- Strong attention to detail
