Come work in a historical building along the Middlesex Canal and join us in making advanced aluminum die cast parts to be used in medical devices, airplanes, and the military. Mechanically inclined? Like working on cars, motorcycles, or equipment? If you can turn a wrench, we’ll teach you the rest. – No professional experience is required. As an entry level Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for: Maintaining our wastewater evaporator Repairing air leaks (hoses and hardlines) Basic mechanical repairs and simple fabrication Assisting in the repair and maintenance of complex hydraulic systems Painting where needed inside and outside the facility. Assisting the janitorial staff cleaning inside and outside the facility and removal of trash. Assisting outside contractors when necessary. Materials Handling. Following health and safety rules, policies, and procedures for work area and takes responsibility to assure that personal work activity is conducted in such a way so as to not affect the safety of themselves or others. Other duties as assigned. Over time you will learn: How to trouble shoot and repair complex hydraulic and electrical systems How to trouble shoot, maintain, and rebuild 400-1200 ton die cast machines How to trouble shoot, maintain, and rebuild 1000-25000 lb. gas fired furnaces How to weld, machine, and fabricate And much more Skills: Knowledge of tools. Must be able to take direction and report results back in a concise manner. The ability to understand direction and work independently. Basic computer skills needed.
