Machining Operator 1st Shift- Monday- Thursday 6am- 430pm General Summary: The production operator job will consist of operating and inspecting proper shut down, proper preventative maintenance, and preparing products based on our customers’ requirements Essential Functions: Follow safe work practices in all aspects of the job Lock Out/Tag Out procedure compliance Proper PPE is required in all production areas Operate machines following proper instruction Ensure correct documentation for orders Inspect and package parts to ensure conformity to customer requirements Visual and Dimensional Gauge parts with production type gages such as plug gages, thread gages and/or variable gages Fork truck/hand truck operation Maintain a clean and orderly work area Experience Required Machining experience with milling and turning experience preferred Basic knowledge of machining processes preferred Education, Training & Skills High School Diploma or equivalent GED required Basic math and blueprint reading experience preferred Adding, dividing, averages, etc. and ability to plot data points. Using charts to convert decimals and fractions. Print reading a benefit but not required.
