1st Shift - Monday through Thursday 6am – 4:30pm
This job includes but is not limited to the following:
- Under the direction of the Quality Manager.
- Perform quality control functions as defined in procedures and work instructions to assure that customers receive quality parts.
- Exposed to harsh operation environment which includes extreme heat.
- Inspect and record all parts at specified frequencies, with specified lot size, in accordance with approved quality control procedures using calibrated gages and measuring devices to ascertain quality.
- Inspect and approve first piece production on any new set-ups at machines.
- Perform audit of warehouse to ensure product is properly packed, identified, and stored as required by procedures and work instructions appropriate for part status.
- Perform an audit of product to be shipped to ensure all move sheet steps have been completed and signed off, all contractually required paperwork is with product and product is properly packed.
- Make sure all suspect parts have been properly tagged and sent to the designated holding areas.
- Consult with the Quality Supervisor or Quality Engineer on any matters pertaining to quality of product or process.
- Perform NCM documentation.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Work closely with Production Department to assure all processes and procedures are current, accurate, and are being followed.
- Assure that all parts are processed according to process routing.
- Monitor process parameters on DCM's and other equipment to determine if they are in statistical control.
- Verify dimensions of parts using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, attribute gages, indicators, and computerized gages.
- Utilize a CMM with pre-existing programs or by creating the necessary programs with the assistance of the Senior CMM Programmer.
- Initialize necessary action to prevent occurrence of any non-conformities relating to products, processes, and quality system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to products, processes, and quality system.
- Provide and implement solutions to solve problems and verify the solutions have the desired result.
- Control any further processing and delivery of non-conforming products until such time as the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Communicate with other associates regarding quality and product information.
- Willing to participate in a team environment to develop solutions to problems that are encountered in the processes used or product being produced.
- Verbally communicate Pace's quality policy.
- Follow the requirements of the Quality Policy, ISO/TS system, and procedures.
- Follow all safety policies but not limited to PPE, Lockout/Tagout, machinery guards, safe lifting, etc.
- Report any safety hazards to the Shift Superintendent or Management.
- Report all accidents and/or near-misses whether they are major or minor in nature.
- Follow the Pace Industries employee policies as stated in the Associate Handbook.
