Job Description:
As the EEO Officer, advises management and staff in the development, implementation and maintenance of discrimination-free policies, procedures, and practices, and ensures a work environment free from discrimination for all employees and applicants. As Pace Ethics Officer pursuant to 5 ILCS 430/20-23; implements and conducts ethics training of Board members and employees and submits required reports as referenced in 5 ILCS 430/5-10 and Illinois Administrative code title 2- 1620.900; acts as the single point of access for Illinois OEIG; provides all information required by the OEIG and posts all notices required by the OEIG.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration, or a related field; juris doctorate degree preferred. Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record. Must have five years experience in criminal, civil, and/or corporate investigations and working knowledge of Illinois State Officials and Employees Ethics Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Illinois Human Rights Act; preferably with a public transportation, EEO, or public administration compliance background. Proficient with Microsoft Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other current applications. Work is performed in an office environment, which requires sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds. Occasional travel may be required.
