Pacific Aero Tech has been dedicated to repairing and servicing aircraft windows, avionics and instruments since 1987. We are certified as a repair station by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA).

We are looking for a well-rounded leader to oversee Pacific Aero Tech's financial health. The Controller will manage all financial and accounting activities, direct and monitor all financial reporting policies and procedures as well as financial administrative practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct all accounting, financial, Human Resources and reporting requirements.
- Supervision of the credit and collection functions.
- Develop and maintain efficient, GAAP-compliant controls, procedures, and standards for the department.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee and execute GL reconciliations and monthly and annual closings.
- Ensure organization complies with federal, state, and local regulations and filings.
- Efficiently manage cash; ensure timely collection of receivables and control disbursements.
- Manage organization’s annual financial audit and relationship with external auditors.
- Manage banking and professional services relationships including accountant financial review, credit line renewals/increases, and capital equipment debt requirements.
- Assist company leaders in monthly budget variance analysis and board reporting.
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts, investigate variances and resolve issues.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions and balances.
- Analyze trends in margins, report on variances between target and actual margins and their causes.
- Evaluate productivity and process constraints.
- Participate in management, cashflow, and other relevant meetings, and provide expert guidance.
- Maintain a system of Accounting Policies and Procedures to safeguard assets, achieve objectives and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, preferably with CPA certification
Must be able to read and write English Minimum
5 years relevant controllership experience, preferably in the aerospace industry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Excel skills
Attention to detail, organized and process oriented
Excellent decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
In depth understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
