Bilingual Dental Assistant Or Registered Dental Assistant

Job Summary:
Works closely with dentists and dental hygienists to assist in providing dental care to patients. Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties, ensuring efficient and smooth operation of the dental office.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting Dentists:
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment.
• Hand instruments and materials to dentists during procedures.
• Assist with dental procedures such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals.
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Patient Care:
• Greet and prepare patients for dental procedures.
• Take and record patients' dental and medical histories.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
• Provide post-operative instructions and care to patients.
• Office Duties:
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar.
• Maintain patient records and documentation accurately.
• Process dental insurance claims and assist patients with billing inquiries.
• Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
• Keep the dental office clean and organized.
• Laboratory Duties:
• Pour and trim dental models.
• Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures under the direction of the dentist.
• Compliance:
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
• Ensure compliance with state dental regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
• State registration or licensure as a dental assistant (RDA).
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Proficiency in dental software for record-keeping and scheduling e.g. Dentrix
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
