Job Title: OFFICE MANAGER in TRAINING

Reports to: Regional Director of Operations

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision and training of the Regional Director of Operations and Clinic Manager, manages and oversees the operational efficiency and stability of ones assigned medical office.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages the daily operations of ones assigned clinics.
- Oversees the progress of assigned clinics in meeting corporate targets and goals.
- Assists with the hiring of clinic staff at assigned location.
- Ensures clinic staff quality training is completed in a timely manner.
- Identifies and resolves promptly operational or employee problems.
- Assists with Provider documentation and credentialing information for all participating health plans.
- Maintains and monitors compliance of the midlevel providers medical records.
- Informs and assists the Regional Director of Operations when patient or employee situations have the potential to adversely impact PDI.
- Prepares daily bank batches, deposits, submitting the reports for review upon request.
- Prepares daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end logs and reports.
- Maintains the time and attendance records for all nonexempt clinic employees.
- Updates and maintains job knowledge by participating in select educational opportunities.
- Provides support, working as a medical assistant or front desk receptionist when necessary.
- Maintains a clean driving record, a valid drivers license, and evidence of valid auto insurance at all times.
- Exemplifies Pacific Dermatology Institutes Purpose, Vision, Goals, and Values on a regular basis.
- Displays the utmost discretion in all presentations/correspondence and communication to staff, Board of Directors and Executive Management.
- Remains in ones clinic the vast majority of the workday.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures that comply with Pacific Dermatology Institutes Corporate policies and procedures, Medicare guidelines, CLIA and OSHA regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Assists with the supervision and coordination of work of the assigned clinic staff.
Skills & Requirements
- Experience in the area of health or business management. Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university in either field preferred
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Certification Program: National Certification preferred
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant preferably in the field of Dermatology
- Knowledge with insurance practices including Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and capitated guidelines
- At least one year of experience in a management-leadership capacity
- Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid Certification
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record software with experience conducting fast paced scribing in a clinical medical environment
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
- Understands customer/patient service in a medical environment
- Fundamental knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes and procedures
- Advanced understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Completion of all CDT training modules with a passing score within 90 days of employment
- Proficient in using sophisticated medical equipment
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities at once
