Analytics Delivery Manager

We’re actively seeking a talented Analytics Delivery Manager to join our Advanced Analytics team in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site or hybrid. As Analytics Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by ensuring delivery excellence for our Advanced Analytics projects and products while helping to mature our agile practices. You will fill a new role that sits in the Consumer Markets Division (CMD). Your colleagues will include Analytics Solution Owner/Architects and fellow Analytics engineers and developers. You will be instrumental in bringing together our center-led analytics team consisting of data scientists, analytics engineers, visualization experts, and BI developers while partnering closely with our business leads. As our Advanced Analytics team grows, our goal is to build processes and capabilities that drive transparency, delivery, and value for our business stakeholders. How you will make an impact: Lead delivery of analytics projects or products working closely with developers and business partners to ensure projects maintain momentum and are delivered on-time and within various Project Management styles (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) Create connections internally and reduce friction across the analytics teams, providing important updates and helping track unresolved blockers. Escalate blockers, issues, and risks as necessary. Ensure that development teams stay on track and resolve issues/defects timely. Keep our business partners informed through product and program status reports and roadmaps. Drive feature and user-story level prioritization with our business partners and teams. Facilitate release planning with development team. Identify resource constraints and work with Advanced Analytics leaders to resolve them by either adjusting priorities, adding people, or adjusting timelines. Work with Project Management Office (PMO) to inform of project estimates, timelines, and risks/issues. Review PMO status reports and ensure they accurately reflect project status Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Applies functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems and recommend best practices. Takes a new perspective using existing solutions. The experience you will bring: 8 years of experience as product or project management leading technical and analytics projects. 4-year degree or equivalent experience. Communication, Collaboration, organization, initiative, analytics experience and/or background. Strong organizational skills, helping all stay informed and aligned. Ability to command a room and facilitate meetings at all levels; drive decisioning and ensure alignment both internally and with our business partners; represent the needs of our team externally. Strong knowledge of work tracking systems such ADO/JIRA. What will make you stand out: Scrum Master and/or PMP certification preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives, and rapidly changing priorities. Hands on technology implementation experience in software development or system architecture, is required. Have or working towards attaining basic certifications such as CSM, CSPO, CSD, CEC, CTC, Cal I & II. Base Pay Range: The base pay range noted provides a basis to determine the appropriate offer dependent upon several factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience, skills, education and pay equity.
